Lasertally is built by one person. I wrote the geometry engine, the quoting math, the nesting engine, the desktop application and this website, and hello@lasertally.app reaches me rather than a support queue. I answer within one business day.
Most software in this category makes you book a call to find out what it costs. That exists so a salesperson can size you up first. I would rather you know on the first visit whether $479 a month is plausible for your shop, decide without talking to anyone, and spend the call on your actual machines if you want one at all.
It also keeps me honest. A published price is the same price for the twelve-person shop and the two-hundred-person shop.
The FAQ and the privacy policy both state plainly that part geometry is uploaded, that Lasertally holds the key, and that this is therefore not end-to-end encryption. Every competitor with a cloud has the same architecture. Most describe it in a way that lets you assume otherwise.
I write it down because a one-person company cannot survive being caught overstating something, and because the shop that actually cannot accept it needs to know before they buy, not after. There is a local-only switch for that shop.
$1,955.08 is a real quotation from a real fabrication shop, reproduced by the quoting engine to the cent. 346 pierces came off a real customer STEP file whose drawing said fewer. 442 came off the tube part on the front page. 3,655 is the number of reference cases a release has to reproduce, and a build that does not reproduce the reference quotes exactly does not ship.
None of those are round, because none of them were chosen. Round numbers on a software website are usually somebody's estimate of what sounds credible.
A number I used to publish and no longer do is a count of automated tests. It was true of the previous engine and it stopped being checkable when the product was rewritten, so it came off rather than getting quietly carried forward.
Every picture of the application on this site is a capture of the application, taken from a job made of my own parts. Several of them used to be HTML mock-ups I had drawn to look like the product. That is a normal thing for a software site to do, and I decided I could not keep doing it while also asking you to believe the numbers printed next to them.

Every shop gets its first month free: 30 days of the full product, exports included, no card, counted from the first sign-in. After that the account falls back to the free preview, which runs the entire quoting engine on your own files and will not export a quote PDF or post a program. If you do buy and it is not what you expected, the 14-day refund is in the terms as well.
